The Cricket Loom is compact, capable, and cute! It’s available in a 10″ or 15″ weaving widths. The Cricket is made of high-quality maple ply and hard maple and is left unfinished. Each Cricket comes with an 8-dent reed (sorry, no substitutions). We also have 5-, 10- and 12-dent reeds. Included are a threading hook, warping peg, table clamps, two shuttles, and two balls of yarn.
10″ Weaving Width
At only 13″ x 18″ x 6″ and just under four pounds, it’s easy to take along. The 10″ weaving width gives plenty of room to make a variety of projects without sacrificing portability. It’s an ideal size for a new weaver of any age. As of April 2010, the Cricket has been redesigned with the ratchet gear and dog on the outside of the loom to make it even easier to adjust tension. Additional shuttles and pick-up sticks are available.
15″ Weaving Width
The wider weaving width offers more flexibility in your choice of weaving projects, and this Cricket remains portable. Uses the same reeds as the 15″ Flip folding rigid heddle loom. Additional shuttles and pick-up sticks are available.
Easel Weaver with Kits

Flip the Folding Loom
Flip, our folding rigid heddle loom, is compact, sturdy, and a pleasure to weave on. Designed for high performance, this loom folds in a jiffy for storage or transport.Weave in comfort: hook the rear leg on a table edge, clamp it to a table for stand-up weaving, or install the Flip on our Trestle Stand. Warp in a flash with the included warping peg.
Fine-toothed nylon ratchets provide precise tension control. The conveniently located heddle blocks on the sides of the loom hold the rigid heddle in the up, down, or neutral position. The heddle, available in 5, 8, 10 and 12 dents per inch, is made of durable ABS plastic, with large eyes and slots. Flip is ideal for plain weaves and pick-up patterns.
Flip’s two-heddle capabilities make it easy and natural to weave with two heddles.

Cricket Loom Stands
The Cricket Stand makes it easier than ever to use your Cricket Loom! It’s simple to put your Cricket on the stand and adjust the angle, and it’s quick to remove the loom when you take your Cricket out on the town.The Cricket Stand is made of the same high-quality maple ply as the Cricket and is left unfinished. The 15″ stand weighs 3.2 pounds; the 10″ stand is slightly lighter.
Trestle Floor Stand
Our trestle stand fits all of our Flip and Tapestry looms. Adjust the arms to position your loom from horizontal to nearly vertical. When the loom is in the horizontal position, it sits at just the right height for use with a standard chair. Our quick-release system makes it easy to remove your loom from the stand for travel or storage.
Duet Cotton / Linen Weaving Yarn
Duet - GIST's first line of weaving yarn.
2 slubby plies of US grown cotton + 1 ply of French tow linen. A beautiful, textured yarn designed especially for weavers. Strong enough for warp, soft enough to wear next to skin, and hardy enough for kitchen towels. Truly a versatile yarn that we hope will become a beloved staple on your loom for many kinds of projects. Comes on ¼ lb. (4 oz) cones with 600 yards per cone.

Mallo is a gorgeous thick and thin cotton slub yarn that is sure to be a new favorite. Suitable for warp and weft, this wonderful textured yarn is great for throws, baby blankets, absorbent towels, waffle weave...the possibilities are endless.
